About Us
Higher Plane is a family owned company, which was established in 1996.
The vision was to create handcrafted, precise wines with a
genuine expression of their origin.
James Halliday, Australia's leading wine writer, nominated Higher
Plane as one of 10 of the best new wineries in Australia for 2003-04.
Great care and attention has gone into all areas of establishment,
starting with finding the best site, clonal vine selection, set
up of the vineyard with close planting (to increase vine competition
and overall fruit quality) and in selection of appropriate consultancy
and winemaking expertise.
In 2005 we created the Bellibone
label incorporating the famous aeroplane girls used by bomber
crews in World War II to distinguish and individualise their planes.
The Higher Plane Vineyard is located 15 km South of the town
of Margaret River in Western Australia.
The administrative office is located at 64 Railway Parade, Welshpool, Western Australia, 6106.
