The Higher Plane property was purchased in 1996 after a two year research project to identify the ideal vineyard site in Margaret River. Over 100 properties were assessed for soil quality and aspect. Thirty two vineyard sites were inspected before identifying the current property.Higher Plane was acquired by the present owners, who also own Juniper Estate in Wilyabrup, Margaret River, in late 2006.
