South by Southwest Cabernet Merlot
The South by Southwest Cabernet Merlot is a medium bodied wine with a lifted appealing ‘pretty’ nose of raspberries, liquored cherry, violets and a touch of dark mint chocolate, which is both regionally and varietally expressive.
The palate is deep and the flavours concentrated - an ‘adult’ beverage that is sleek and glossy. Tannins are ripe and fine – and fruit sweetness is evident, without being jammy.
Tightly grained spicy French and European oak provides a gentle background seasoning.
The acid is neatly balanced with all other elements contributing freshness and helping to prevent the wine from being too opulent.
