Australian wine producers have arguably embraced the notion that ‘more is better’ (more ripeness, more alcohol, more weight, more oak…) whereas at Higher Plane
we are more inclined to the belief that ‘less is more’; winemaking with delicacy, elegance and complexity as the aim.
Estate Wines
We make two ranges of wines. The wines released under the Higher Plane label are sourced exclusively from our property and are the very best single vineyard wines that we can produce. The wines are hand made to show finesse and restraint, and clearly reflect both their origin and varietal character.
South by Southwest
The South by Southwest range of wines is made from fruit sourced the Estate but may be supplemented from a small number of carefully selected vineyards sites in the area. These are quality focused wines that are both varietally and regionally expressive, crafted for, and by, people with passion.
