The Big Red Wine Book 2010/11 by Campbell Mattinson and Gary Walsh has been published and the Higher Plane Cabernet Sauvignon 2007 is featured - here's what they say:
“Another fine example of the bounteous 2007 vintage. This is a seriously tasty wine, and yet it simultaneously seems effortless. So many of the best things in life do. Flavours of nuts, chocolate, perfumed gumleaves and mulberry. It’s medium-bodied, smooth and composed, with fine grained tannins. It’s so well balanced that you can easily enjoy the best of it now, though it will develop well over the next handful of years too.
Drink 2010-2016; 94/100; Value ****”
