vintage report 2002
This vintage was affected by the abnormally warm winter of 2001, resulting in uneven flowering and very low yields, particularly of the whites.Our Chardonnay yields were reduced by 70% this vintage however the fruit quality was very good.
The red yields were also affected but not as much and the fruit intensity remained very pleasing. As a result the Merlot is very powerful and the Cabernet Merlot is showing more approachable fruit characters.
